Paul Zindel won the 1971 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon-Marigolds and virtually every prize and award possible for a new play: an Obie, The New York Drama Critics Circle Award, and the Drama Desk Award. His other plays include: Amulets Against The Dragon Forces, And Miss Reardon Drinks A Littlle, Ladies at the Alamo, The Ladies Should Be in Bed and Let Me Hear You Whisper. Although Zindel’s work has appeared on Broadway and Off-Broadway and he has written for both film and television, he has been better known as an award-winning author of stories for young adults and children.
